news courtesy of BBC World Service by tuning to 15.31 on
the 19-meter band or 11.995 on the 25–meter band.
Voice of America (VOA) comes best on 9760.
News Broadcasts in English and Tamil are readily audible
over local radio and television. There are a number of Indian
news magazines and newspapers published in English, which
energetically cover the Indian scene. There is limited international
news however, and you may wish to arrange for an overseas
subscription of your favourite magazine or newspaper before
leaving home.
