The word "Mission" evokes diverse responses from people and some would naturally equate this with mission institutions. However Mission primarily starts with who and where we are. The difficulties encountered in maintaining a Christian witness in ones circumstances, the uncertainties regarding higher studies, the peer pressures and the changing values in our society are significant challenges for the modern youth. The options in Mission though numerous however are not well known to many. In this background, Christian Medical College, Vellore would like to invite the medical students to Vellore for a three day conference, 'Shiloh-08'-February 29th, March 1st and 2nd 2008.

This unique and pioneering event which is jointly hosted by C.M.C. Vellore., C.M.A.I., E.M.F.I., H.C.F., and many other mission hospitals and churches will be a one stop place where all the information regarding medical missions is likely to be available, a forum where one would have unlimited opportunities to interact with the contemporary Christian Health Care Mission leaders in India and abroad, a memorial to the ones who have walked before us and have fulfilled their destiny in Christ, a place to meet with our Lord Jesus Christ in a corporate manner. We would like to welcome all our dear young friends to come to Vellore for these three days and be part of this new venture - a venture that has its aim to build the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
