  3. Hospital Number Card
    1. What is a Hospital Number Card?
       Hospital Number Card is a patient ID card used for all payments in CMC Vellore.
        One patient, One card.

    2. If my Hospital Number card is lost where should I report?
      Report to Payment Counters 3 & 4, located in ISSCC building, Ground Floor, duplicate card will be issued with the payment of Rs.100/ with original ID Proof (Govt. related).

    3. I am an old patient of CMC. Where can I get the new Hospital Number Card?
      Please approach Payment Counters 3 & 4, ISSCC building, Ground Floor with your old hospital number.

  4. What is OPAD?
    OPAD is the short form of Outpatient advance. OPAD is a facility through which patients are allowed to pay an advance sum of money for future use. The OPAD can be used during the course of their Outpatient treatment for several payments such as Appointments, Investigations and Pharmacy transactions, only for payments made directly to cash counters in the hospital campuses.
    Please note that OPAD cannot be used for online payments.

    1. Why should I transact through the OPAD (Out Patient Advance)?
      Doctor can make your payments, if required balance is in your OPAD. You can collect the payment receipts and laboratory slips immediately from the concerned OPD's Medical Records Officer (MRO) counter. 
      You can pay in your OP Floors using OPAD.

    2. Will my money be safe in OPAD?
       Yes, your money is safe because your OPAD can be used only for your payments.

    3. Can anyone use my OPAD?
      No, Other patients or your relatives cannot use your OPAD balance for their payments.

    4. Where can I load money in OPAD?
      OPAD can be loaded with cash/ debit card only in any of the payment counters in CMC.
       
    5. Where can I get the OPAD refund?
      OPAD Refund of Rs 2000 and below is given in cash counters 2,3,4  in the ground floor of ISSCC Building. At the time of making your request for a refund, please produce any government identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID or Passport).
      OPAD Refund above Rs. 2000 is given in 105 Billing Section-Main building 1st floor.
      Please note that partial refund of your balance in the OPAD is not permitted.

    6. Do I have a privilege over other cash paying patients?
      Yes, your payments will be quick and easy. Your doctor can deduct charges for tests, investigations and pharmacy from his computer. You need not stand in payment counter queues.
       
  5. If I have any query regarding Hospital Number Card, whom should I contact?
    For queries regarding Hospital Number Card, please approach counter 402, ISSCC Building Ground Floor.

  6. What is Online payment?
    When the doctor orders tests and appointment onlines, you can use the online payment option to pay instead of standing in the queue.

  7. I have made a web appointment as a general new patient. Now I wish to see a consultant. What should I do?
    If you have already made a general appointment online, a private appointment can be made online only on the day or after the day of your general appointment. There is no option to make an online cancellation of your general appointment, in order to book a private appointment. However, changing your category from general to private appointments can however be availed through all our cash counters. 

    Please note that if you are an old patient of the concerned unit, you may book a private appointment online without waiting for the day of your general appointment.

  8. I have made a web appointment as a private patient. Now I wish to see in general. What should I do?
If you have already made a private appointment online, a general appointment can be made online only on the day or after the day of your private appointment. 9. I am an old patient of CMC, my concerned doctor has gone on long leave. I would like to visit another consultant in the same unit. What should I do?
